Public-Private-Partnership (PPP)

The Einstein Center Digital Future digitization project, which is unique in Germany, is made possible by numerous partners from industry, science and politics. The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research each finance a professorship at ECDF. In addition, more than 20 companies are involved in the initiative. Of these, around twelve million euros are used to finance the professorships. The companies include Berliner Sparkasse, Berliner Wasserbetriebe, BVG, Bundesdruckerei, Cornelsen, Mercedes-Benz Foundation in the Donors’ Association, Gesobau, Howoge, Intel, SAP, Telekom, Viessmann and Zalando. The state of Berlin is also strongly committed. There are 50 cents per euro raised from companies.
